Riverdale Hall Hotel

Based in Northumberland, Riverdale is Northumberland’s premier country house hotel, set in a beautiful location. It is situated in a tranquil setting, a short riverside walk to the small town of Bellingham, gateway to Northumberland National Park, near Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Water and Forest. They have a Les Routiers Gold Plate award-winning restaurant, and team of chefs, who have established for themselves an enviable reputation for the standard of their cuisine.

All bedrooms are well appointed with ensuite bathrooms, shower, colour televisions (not that we would need them of course) telephone, tea and coffee making facilities.

Riverdale overlooks the river Tyne, a perfect location if your partner’s like to come along on the dog holidays with you but like to do other things!... Nearby is Bellingham’s 18 hole golf course which can be arranged via the hotel also dependent on the season salmon and trout fishing can be arranged. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna (free use for guests) and a beauty therapist so you can book some pamper time – so there is something for everyone.

Importantly to us – this is a dog friendly hotel – so dogs are allowed in rooms (crated of course) last thing at night. For peace of mind DFL have booked 4 self contained apartments with kitchen, sitting room and bathrooms, which are away from the main hotel and we can park outside on the grass. The other ensuite rooms are also away from the main part of the hotel so at no time do we feel we have to pass other guests who do not own dogs.

We are able to offer this Activity Holiday on a full board basis (continental breakfast, light lunch (or picnic if we are out) and a two course evening meal including tea/coffee.) So all you would need to purchase is your evening drinks...
