Harton, Yorkshire
Harton, is used for activity holidays - which includes essential-training, agility, flyball, bike rides in the Dalby Forest, Walking in the Howardian Hills, Castle Howard and Yorkshire Dales as well as a walk on the beach East Coast – some are only a steady 40 minute drive and are just a few places to mention.
Our Harton holiday has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the accommodation is split between a converted barn and Janet's place which is right next door – the enclosed gardens and paddocks make it a very safe place to hold our essential-training and agility days…. Along with Janet's lovely food and home-made baking it has a fabulous relaxing atmosphere with beautiful country walks.
Importantly to us it is dog friendly and very welcoming. (Breakfast, lunch and a two course evening meal - plus very delicious homemade cakes for afternoon tea are included in the price). On our activity holidays we sometimes have a pub lunch after a walk (not included in the price of the holiday) just for a change - or on our days out we may take a picnic. For those that enjoy a drink on an evening you should bring your own alcohol as there isn't a pay bar.
Many of my clients who come from far away for private lessons will stay at Janet's overnight – but sometimes stay longer to take in the beautiful city of York and surrounding areas.
